  • Taught 65 min. lessons for the Linguistic Accuracy Academic B level English class

-BYU Business/Korean Program-Hyundai Heavy Industries English TutorBrigham Young University, Provo, UT; September-December 2010

  • Tutored a Korea businessman from South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries here on an English learning and business program through Hyundai and BYU.
  • Tutored him for 2 hours, Mon-Thurs; helped him with his business program homework, and his speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation via discussions concerning various topics, including politics, government, and current events.
  • Discussed cultural aspects of America and the American language via English instruction.

Selnate Chinese Student Summer CampSelnate International School, Provo, UT; August 2010

  • Taught a 3 week, 3 hour Advanced level English class with around 15 Chinese junior high school students
  • Helped administer and grade the placement exam for 90 students

-English Teaching/Tutoring/Study Buddy/InternSelnate International School, Provo, UT; May 2009-July 2009

  • Observed level 2 Grammar, Writing, Reading, Listening/Speaking, and combined Pronunciation classes
  • Taught lessons for Level 2 Grammar, Reading, and Listening/Speaking classes
  • Administered tests for Pronunciation and Level 2 Listening/Speaking classes, read and wrote dialogues for Level 2 Listening/Speaking class
  • Participated in the Study Buddy Program, Conversation Café, and tutored and answered students questions

-English Teaching Intern – BYU, Professor Masakazu’s English Teaching Internship Program, Yokohama, Japan; May-July 2008

  • Taught beginning and intermediate English to both High school and college age Japanese students in Japan
  • Designed my own lessons based off the exercises in the book and designed drawings to accompany those lessons
  • Graded the students off of a scale of 1-4 for their daily performance during class
  • Lived with a Japanese host family, and assimilated into Japanese society by living the life of a typical Japanese worker, commuting 2 hours to work by train each day
