ELC C.O.R.E Advanced Student Evaluations:

A re-working of Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech, “I Have a Dream;” We had our students practice this speech and give it in front of the class, so one of our students wrote her own version and presented it at the mid-term party.

“I have a dream.

I have a dream, that one day,

My English will be fluent like a native American.

I have a dream that one day,

I can be clever and understand so well about politics like my teacher Casey.

That one day, I’ll be dedicated and fashionable like my teacher “Cheesecake”.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day,

I have the courage to break down barriers and say what I think like Martin Luther King.

That all nations will speak the same language.

The language of respect, The language of friendship.

I have a dream that all nations will share the best they have without competition.

I have a dream today.

And all other countries will learn from our differences.

That one day all nations will rise up and live out the true meaning of equality and enjoy for that.

Enjoy that we are children of the same Father.

I have a dream.

I have a dream today.

That one day, right here at ELC,
with our teachers with their lips dripping with the words of pronunciation and preposition;
classmates can sit at the table of brotherhood with the opportunity to learn together.

I have a dream today.

And this dream became true !!

Became true, at least here, at ELC.

Yes, in our English class today.”
